Recently, while scrolling the Instagram I saw a simple design of a floor to ceiling window overlooking a garden from a small, confined space of the corridor. The narrow (and quite frankly a bland) space immediately felt bright spacious and almost sacred. The space gained a new function - instead of just moving between the rooms - now you could connect with the nature, notice clouds or birds in the tree on the opposite side of the garden, out of sudden you are not just walking

Sustainability and wellbeing have never been more relevant in architectural design. In today’s ESG-driven landscape, environmental and social responsibility are no longer optional extras. Even when projects are not required to meet strict governmental benchmarks, clients are increasingly aware, engaged, and looking for design that reflects these values. Wellbeing is also brought up in architecture more often - as we get inevitably entrenched in the technology and urbanisation

Some visualisers think images without people 'lack life', some think it's the cheesiest trick in 'storytelling'. But facts are facts: architects and developers often ask for people in architectural images and the trend doesn't seem to pass. Using people in images was tremendously overused at some point and got a really bad reputation of a crutch for bad or non-existent design. But the truth is that people can be very helpful for understanding the concept, if only done right.
